wishlist

Recently many people were speaking about inclusive growth. The main focus of budget 2009 should be on this. No sector should be neglected.  One such sector sector is agriculture which has not been focussed properly i.e. in the sense of what it needs in long term. Waiver of loans and subsidies all these are not needed for Indian farmers further. Their produce should be marketed at fair price at which agriculture will be profitable. Many may argue that this year we have surplus production of grains(wheat and rice). yes, we do have. But they are not bringing profit to the farmer nor to the country. If ever this year also we produce surplus gains prices come to a low and farmer will be at loss. So a preplan should be made regarding exports. If I couldn't feed my family properly how can i feed India? This is the question from the farming community. There are lots of statistics supporting this argument. Why the profit in agriculture to the farmers has not increased while people in other sectors have earned hand full of profits. Budget 2009 should address agriculturer in this line by providing reasonable profits to the farmers not the loan waivers.
