“Keeping in mind the current economic scenario, we expect the Union Budget 09 to be Growth oriented and providing a boost to overall investment. We anticipate tax breaks for the companies who invest a portion of their profits in education, which will stimulate and coordinate private sector participation in skill development. There should be an extension of SEZ benefits for at least another ten years and tax exemptions for the next ten years for companies that work on developing vocational skills. The educating activities should be permitted to be carried out on a 'for profit' basis in higher education sector.”
