"The Health of nations is more important than the wealth of nations", said Will Rogers. With extended working hours, poor eating habits, stressful lifestyles, increasing number of people are becoming sick at a younger age. It is right time the government comes up with a good 'stay healthy policy' - more than just an health insurance plan. I would recommend the finance minister to add "Stay Healthy benefit plan" within the tax benefits so that people have another reason to go to gyms or yoga centers. We need a plan to help people stay healthy besides what is existing today which provides medical insurance. For those who struggle for medical treatment, the Civil hospitals and ESI dispensaries are not more than an eyewash as the services and basic amenities lack accountability. Bringing these hospitals under audit by a professional accounting body at least twice a year can help to reduce the corruption. A marginal cess from the top corporate houses, high band salary individuals or businesspersons can help to collect the kitty for all these expenditure. Healthy people shall lead to a healthy nation.
