                  Ensure social equity and accountability

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While preparing the budget it may be remembered that our GDP is below its potential output.  Dependency ratio becomes higher when the people able to work are made to sit idle.  Productivity will not be increased if some perks, payments and subsidies are provided without giving any job.  Voluntary unemployment should be removed.

Social overhead capital to be improved and made more beneficial.  A new policy on road transportation to be framed and implemented avoiding the existing drawbacks like traffic congestion.   Services of the police personnel to be utilised fully and their efficiency to be improved.  A higher basic qualification to be prescribed for recruitment purposes.

Inequality and social disparity are to be removed.  Equal opportunity for gainful employment to be provided for the masses.  The phenomenon of accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few exploiting the common man to be ended.  The government should control the exploitation of the retired government employees by the private insurance companies accepting huge investments under duress.

The LIC of India to be made more efficient, practical, acceptable and accountable.  The amounts to be returned to the  public and the government employees after retirement should be issued in time without any delay.
