The main problems faced by the elders are neglect and disease. So the Budget should introduce free medical insurance scheme for the poor that they could also get quality medical service. And most of the elders are left out of the medical insurance schemes or they could not afford to meet the ever increasing cost according to increasing age. A low-cost comprehensive national scheme should be introduced to cover all senior citizens. More old-age homes and homes where the neglected could seek protection should be provided.
Another wish would be to provide free breakfast scheme in schools along with the present mid-day meal scheme for poor children. This would help more or full enrollment, give better food security, help them study better and reduce drop out.
A special tuition scheme could be introduced for the benefit of backward students.
