Empower the Farmer to meet the Food security Flagship programme of the UPA government
The budget should empower the farmer in all ways to sustain him in farming by providing low interest credit, high yielding seeds and technology, irrigation and soil health to ensure a climate resilient agriculture. Provide him with farmers health card with subsidised medical treatment so as to ensure his mental security. And also, NREG works should be linked with agriculture so as to prevent the global slowdown from hitting the rural economy.
