Dear Sir
For the attention of Honorable Finance Minister thro Businessline
I wish to bring to the Finance Minister 's attention ,the indignant EPF pention awarded to the central public sector officers .
I retired during january 2002 after serving 34 years in CPSU's .Post retirment ,pention awarded to me is Rs 608/(Six hundreds and eight only)
per month. How can the retiree couple in india survive with such a fancy pention? I know ,there are retirees with pention amount much less than this amount.
Retirees should be extended a pention which should be sufficient to meet atleast the medical bills of a retiree couple.A MP or MLA on serving three years are
eligible for a pention much much above to such levels.I request the Finance Minister to extend a minimum pention of Rs five thousands to the cpsu retirees with retrospective
effect with a condition of certain minimum service and suitable enhancement in pention to the senior officers depending on their salary /grade of the retirement period.
The pention should be comparable to that of officers of central service/banks /any other sector in the country and should be sufficient for subsistane of the retirees.
At least the governments should not disgrace the officers of CPSU's with such disgraceful pention numbers. The pention should also linked with inflation index as available
to the officers of central direct service.
